A sunny Sunday in September marked the end of the Rotax Italia championship in the North with the relative allocation of the titles of the area, which will allow the winners to access the next National Final with the maximum score.
Assigned the titles of Rotax Junior and DD2, attention is concentrated in the Max and Mini classes, with the northern area titles still in the balance.
The Mini Rotax sees a three-way clash for the area crown, with the leader Paolo De Grandi (Krono Racing) who must see it with the assaults of Matteo Natino (MKC) and Brando Badoni (Irt Engines). In qualifying, however, the outsiders prevail, with the pole position that is signed by Gabriele Giribaldi (IRT Engines) to precede Nik Brecley. Natino, Badoni and De Grandi take P3, P6 and P7 respectively. The first round does not say particularly well to the poleman Giribaldi, which is overtaken by Natino, author of an excellent point, and by Leo Gonzalez, who recovers well from the fifth place on the grid. The typical game of the skis of the Franciacorta circuit, benefits Nik Brecely, who after having crossed Gonzalez, also surpasses Natino and stretches slightly on the group. We go to form a tris of pilots fighting for the 2nd, 3zo and 4th place, with Natino who at 2 turns from the term precedes De Grandi and Badoni. At Turn 1 of the last lap Badoni takes advantage of the skies very well by going into second position, with De Grandi taking advantage of the road to get over Natino too. Vince Brecley, in front of Brando Badoni, who with the decisive overtaking of the last lap precedes the direct contenders to the title and goes to win it mathematically, with a heat in advance. In race2 we witness a further solo of Nik Brecley, which with his Eks turns out to be unpretentious. The fight is confined to the second position, which De Grandi surpasses Natino at the start. Rotax Junior with the title already settled in the hands of Elia Pappacena (MKC) and with a pole position this time signed by the driver Infinity Racing Team Kiko Fracassi, who precedes the new area champion and Matteo Berruti (LKA Racing Team). In race-1 the fight against victory is without exclusions of hits, with Fracassi leaving very well and drags behind Berruti, while Pappacena shows third. Pappacena, then takes the first position somewhere, but Fracassi is very tenacious on this occasion and resumes shortly after the leadership, with Berruti who takes advantage of the favourable circumstances to fit into P2. A quartet is formed at the top, composed of Pappacena, Berruti, Fracassi and the fast Lorenzo Giaquinto. Fracassi returns, 4 laps from the end, in second position, but in the meantime Pappacena has carved a slight gap that will lead him to victory, while a deburring of Berruti at the last curve allows Giaquinto to take third place. In race-2 we again have the Pappacena-Fracassi duel for victory, with Giaquinto who however manages to maintain the rhythm of the first and competes with them. Fracassi takes the lead on the third lap and leads the race, then, at 3 laps from the end, the decisive moment: Pappacena attacks Fracassi and the attempt to insert even Giaquinto brings Fracassi on the dirt and therefore out of the fight for victory. In the first group, the best time is the leader Leonardo Principalli (MKC) who precedes the LKA Racing duo formed by Pietro Pons and Andrea Perduca; in the second group is confirmed fast Matteo Pianezzloa (54 SC), which marks the best time in front of the team mate Alessandro Teacchio and Leonardo Del Col (LKA). At the end of the elimination heats, which allocate points per race-1, in the head of the ranking we find Leonardo Principalli, who gets two first places, in front of Pietro Pons (author of a P1 and a P3), Matteo Pianezzola, Leonardo Tiozzo and Andrea Perduca to close the top-5. It is an important result for Principalli, which given the unsilluble performance of Chizzali (P6) can afford to go in race-2 having already mortgaged the North Zone title. At turning off the lights it takes very well Principals who drags behind Pons, Pianezzola, Bernardi and Marchioro. On the third lap, Pons unleashes the successful attack for the first position, with Principalli remaining glued. On the penultimate lap the cluou moment of the race, with Principals attacking Pons, who however immediately responds with a detached in curve-1, while Pianzezzola fits into the fight and surprises Principalli, who loses two positions also to the advantage of Giacomo Marchioro. Pons first cuts the finish line in front of Pianezzola and Marchioro, but in the post-race he gets a penalty of 5" for irregular position of the spoiler. , with the championship already in the hands of Leonardo Baccaglini (Ktre), not present in Franciacorta, the pole position is signed by the color companion Cristian Trolese, to precede Alessando Fardin (54SC). Second line Gragorio Bertocco (MKC) and Patrik Marchetto (54SC). In race-1, Nicola Felappi, who left fifth, immediately took third place. The progression of Felappi is such as to take him then to cross Bertocco Prima and Trolese then, thus going to take the first square. Bertocco also surpasses the Trolese at the next round, but the Felappi pass is such as to take him to the head to the finish line (first win in DD2), in front of Bertocco and Trolese, who in the last steps must see it from a good return of Marta Bussola, which closes fourth. In race 2 twists of scene not to end, with Felappi driving the race until the 12th lap, when the attack of Gragorio Bertocco instead takes advantage Cristian Trolese, who takes the first position and, with a skillful defense, will not spring it until the finish line. The defense of Trolese then unpacks into a recompacted group, and it is Bertocco to have the worst, under the overtaking of Alessandro Fardin, who will end to a great second place, with Bertocco who, closing however third, wins the place of honor in the championship. In the Master class, new double for the driver of 54Squadra Corse Claudio Pagliarani, who thus wins the zone title. Claudio preceded Jody Lambrughi in race-1, while in race-2 he preceded the expert tri sample of category Fabio Cretti (Honolulu).
