A striking final at the Azzurra Pista di Jesolo with more than 100 pilots who fought to win the national Rotax 2021 titles and tickets to the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals edition 21.
In the Mini category Matteo Berruti won all three heats after obtaining the pole position. Matteo finished the championship with 165 points and won the ticket for the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Final. The second step of the podium of category was obtained by Matteo Montrone, who struggled more than expected in that of Jesolo, but two fifths and a third place (besides the primacy of points in the North area) were sufficient to occupy the second square of the podium. Fight on the edge of the razor for the last step of the podium between Lorenzo Lanzara who has the best, for one point, on Pietro Lilli. The latter made himself the author of a last race particularly spectacular, contending for the victory at Berruti until the finish line.
Rocambolesco’s performance of the Rotax Junior, in which, after a pole position record for Kiko Fracassi we have various drivers alternating with the heats. In race-1, after the initial flaming of Fracassi, Pietro Pons, Sebastiano Pavan and Leon Zelenko alternate with the race, with the latter cutting the finish line in front of a reassembly Giacomo Marchioro and Sebastiano Pavan. In race-2 Pons and Pavan animate the first race laps, as long as Zelenko does not come back after a difficult start and takes his head over in the race finale Pons. Third concludes a good Elia Pappacena, while in the middle of the race takes place the stage shot with Kiko Fracassi who is forced to retire and sees thus blur his greater chances of winning the title. In the third and last race still undisputed domain of Leon Zelenko who precedes the finish line Sebastiano Pavan and Elia Pappacena, still third. Kiko Fracassi's misfortune Sunday ends, closing 16th. Leon Zelenko wins the national final 2021, while the Rmc Italia ranking wins a constant Giacomo Marchioro with 153 points, ahead of Pietro Pons and Elia Pappacena at 148. Giacomo Marchioro and Pietro Pons will represent Italy at the Grand Finals 2021 in Bahrain.
Even more unpredictable the Rotax Max, where Andrea Petrovic is to score the pole position with its track record. The qualification is however marked by the difficulties of the leader of the classification, Luca Zamburlini who gets only the P19, while the direct competitors Andrea Giudice, Michele Chizzali and Nicola Guerra occupy the first six positions. In race-1, after repeated exchanges of positions and contacts, it is Nicola Guerra to first cut the finish line in front of Andrea Giudice and Leonardo Tiozzo. In race-2 it is still Nicola Guerra to cross the finish line in the lead, but a penalty in the post race relegates it to the P5, leave the victory to Marco Bernardi. Same fate for direct rivals Andrea Giudice, who slips from P3 to P9, and for Zamburlini, who after a rimonta until the P5 slips in 11th square. In the last and decisive race we witness further twists, with the tops of the ranks bottled in the group. Damiano Marchesan takes advantage of this, taking the momentary leadership that will be kicked only in the final race by David Lakner. Under the chess flag is Andrea Giudice, with the P4, to have the best on the rivals Luca Zamburlini and Nicola Guerra, but in the post-race the stewards commit 5" of penalty and so, for one point, it is Nicola Guerra to win the tricolor title and the ticket for the Grand Final. Third place for the coriaceous Marco Bernardi.
In the DD2, after the pole position of Cristian Trolese, he climbs in chair Michaele Rosina, who with determination takes home all three heats. Particularly spectacular race-1, in which the trio of head Trolese-Munaretto-Rosina battles until the final race. The main stage shot, however, takes place in race-2, where Luca Munaretto (leader of the north zone), after several contacts, is seen retrocessed with penalty up to the P8, not succeeding then to reassemble in race-3 and giving the second place in the championship to an excellent Gregorio Bertocco that closes both race-2 and race-3 in second position with fast lap of race and will join Michaele Rosina at the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Final.
In the DD2 Master is Marco Valestra to win race and ticket, both in race-2 and in race-3 after obtaining the start to the pole. Lorenzo Landi, winner of race-1 and leader of the North area, is forced to retire immediately after the start of race-2, thus not being able to say his in optical classification having to settle for the second place overall. On the third step of the podium a constant Alessandro Tosi.
In the Dd2 Gentlman is Luca Pizzolato, protagonist of the season, to have the best on Emilio Furlan, winner of race2, and Bruno Rega.
