Great championship final for the northern part of the Rotax Max Challenge Italia 2021, with 67 drivers who fought on the hot asphalt of the 7 Kart Lakes, which decreed the winners of the trophy of Zone.
GARA CRONACA
There are 14 riders who animate the Rotax Mini race, especially important race because 4 drivers are still mathematically struggling for the overall victory. The leader of the classification Matteo Montrone (Irt Engines) immediately tries to extinguish the dreams of glory of competition by placing himself in pole position, with a good margin on the color companion Brando Badoni. In the second row Matteo Berruti (Honolu Racing), one of the poppy contenders for the title. The other two suitors, Lorenzo Lanzara and Karel Staut, are more affixed, while the second row is completed by Pietro Lilli (LKG). At the start of race-1 Montrone starts well from the pole and immediately tries to select the group, while at the detachment of the lake, Staut attacks Lilli in a desperate attempt to reassemble. The two Irt pilots dictate the step, with Berruti trying not to get detached, but the three will arrive on the finish line with unchanged order. The most intense fight is for the fourth square between Lilli and Staut. The duel continues without exclusion of blows, until, at the last bend, Pietro Lilli prevails on the Helvetic pilot. The start of race-2 is more tribulated where three training laps will be needed. When Pietro Lilli's traffic lights go out too early and will receive for this 10" penalty, but in the meantime he is in charge. The leadership of Lilli lasts until the detachment of the lake curve, where Montrone will find the head of the race and keep it until the end of the race. Shortly thereafter, Berruti and Lanzara also attack and pass Lilli, which also succeeds in Badoni, shortly after. Around 4 Badoni
For the Rotax Junior, we take the first pole position of San Marinese Giacomo Marchioro (LKA Racing) in front of the already local champion and teammate Kiko Fracassi. In third position the fast driver of Mozambique Ghazi Motlekar (Munaretto Performance). In race-1 it is Motlekar to take an extraordinary start, which first leads him to overcoming Fracassi and then to attack Markioro successfully. After some exchange of courtesans between the first two, Motlekar stretches slightly on Marchioro, while behind them the fight between Kiko Fracassi, Pietro Pons and Nik Trobec is inflamed. After various exchanges of positions, Fracassi manages to stretch to preserve the P3, while at the last bend is Pietro Pons to have the best on Trobec, for the fourth place, but then a penalty of 5" for uneven position of the musetto will take him to ninth square, leaving the Slovenian driver in P4. Fourth seasonal seal for Motlekar, in front of Marchioro and Fracassi that completes the race-1 podium. In race-2 it is Marchioro to react very well to the extinguishing of the traffic lights, thus going insidiare immediately Motlekar for the first position. Once the race is over, the titan will take an important step to the race that will allow him to close the race in his head, bringing home the first career victory in Rotax Junior. Motlekar and Fracassi close regularly in P2 and P3, while after a nice comeback, it is Pons to grab the fourth square. Nik Trobec closes the top-5 ahead of Giorgia Montrone (Irt Engines).
Third consecutive pole in Rotax Max for Nicola Guerra (LKA Racing), flanked in the front row by Leonardo Baccaglini (Ktre Race). In third position, Michele Chizzali next to Leonardo Tiozzo. In Race 1 he took the War command, taking Leonardo Tiozzo, author of a great start from the third position. After a few laps, Baccaglini attacks the mate team at the "Omega" curve, taking in second position, while shortly after is Andrea Giudice (FooDrivers) to pass the same Tiozzo to the counter straight. The bagarre helps Nicola Guerra escape undisturbed, thus taking the second heat victory of the season, in front of Baccaglini and Giudice. In race-2 it is great the point of the first row, with War that still leaves well and tries to impose his rhythm to the race. The fight turns on for the P2, where, after a nice duel, it is Judge to have the best on Baccaglini. Behind them he concludes Leonardo Tiozzo, who confirms the growth already seen in Siena, while the great struggle for the fifth position between Pianezzola, Chizzali and Galvanin is resolved in favor of the latter. Nicola Guerra thus obtained the third victory of heats, in front of Judge and Baccaglini. The title of the northern area remains in the hands of Luca Zamburlini, not present here in Castelletto.
In the Rotax Dd2 the pole position is in favor of Michaele Rosina (54SC), which is seen flanked by Nicola Felappi (Honolu Racing). Only sixth is the leader Luca Munaretto, who thus exposes himself to possible classification attacks by Trolese (Ktre), who starts third and Bertocco, who snaps right in front of him. Rosina starts well at the ready-way and immediately creates a slight margin on the group. Cristian Trolese attacks Felappi and takes himself in second position, while shortly after Gregory Bertocco also succeeds in the same manoeuvre. Luca Munaretto, at the same time, tries to recover after a bad qualification and, once reached Bertocco, tries an attack from which a contact arises: Bertocco is forced to retire, while Felappi regains his third position. Rosina wins loosely in front of Trolese and Felappi. In the post-race comes the confirmation of the injury to the hand for Gregorio Bertocco, which will not allow him to fight until the last for the title. Some hope for Trolese again, but Rosina, with a great start and a step once again higher, will get the success of race-2 mathematically guaranteeing the zone title to Munaretto. The three-way struggle for the second position is therefore resolved in favour of Trolese, which precedes Munaretto and Felappi. In the Master class another great double of Lorenzo Landi who wins competition and league of Zone, while in the Gentlman is the "solito" Emilio Furlan to win both race-1 and race-2.
We reached the conclusion of the area Nord Rotax Italy 2021. Now for the drivers is time of intense workouts in view of the National Final Rotax Italy, which will take place at the Pista Azzurra in Jesolo next October 17.
