In recent days, the ACI Sport has released the new regulations for the Pre-Agonistic Karting Activity. Rotax Italia has updated the Sport Regulation 2021 with the news regarding the Rotax Micro Entry Level. The regulation is being approved at ACI Sport.
The novelties revolve around the principle of "non-competitive events" which have the exclusive purpose of approaching small drivers (from 6 years completed to 8 completed) and parents to karting practice.
We summarize in short what you will find in the Sport Regulation of the RMCI for the Micro Entry Level category:
- The license to participate in the events of Pre-Agonistic Activity Karting is the E License.
- These events are combined with the RMCI races and therefore respect the same calendars.
- The age of riders goes from 6 years to 8 years.
- The events must commit one day and the registration fee cannot be greater than the €45.
- The Micro Entry Level event program is divided into five stages:
- Step 1: Free Spins knowledge route, max 10 minutes
- Phase 2: Timed turn session individual individuals, max 10 minutes
- Phase 3: First Group Session (departure order to be established by drawing, departure launched, in Indian row, with use of light or green flag which start) lasts up to 12 minutes.
The session begins from the moment when the driver is first, because so drawn, passes the starting line, and ends at the moment when he takes the 12th minute.
Therefore the chess flag should be given to the driver who first is to cross the line of arrival at the end of the 12th minute session, regardless of whether or not it is the first absolute of the group.
- Step 4: Second group session (same mode of the first session, but with new draw of the order of departure).
- Step 5: End of the event ceremony: all children at the end of the day will receive a recognition (diploma /medaglietta/other) for participation in the event.
- Documentation for Micro Entry Level participation analysis: Without prejudice to the fact that no rankings can be drawn up and/or issued, competitors drivers/parents will be delivered a document (the chronological sheet provided by the timekeeping service) useful to verify the learning of small participants.
- It will be possible during the event to use only one frame, one motor and only one set of tires
It opens a new phase for the approach of karting practice, phase that puts the formation and growth of small drivers at the centre and not the competition end to itself.
This approach likes the Rotax world that has always ambition to put the driver in the centre as a real protagonist of karting.
We look forward to many of which circuits of the most beautiful Marca Trophy in the world! !
