In order to ensure a stable supply of the products and maintain the usual levels of performance and quality, BRP-Rotax invested in the production of its own cylinder production plant for the Rotax MAX engine family.
The Rotax Plasma cylinders are equipped with a special plasma coating, a technology that BRP-Rotax has already successfully employed in other product lines and which is also used in the highest categories of motor racing.
It has been decided to transfer the production of cylinders to Austria and, in this context, to renew the casting moulds and machining tools for all cylinders of the Rotax-MAX engine family.
For customers wishing to upgrade their engine with the Rotax-Plasma cylinder, BRP-Rotax offers a special price launch.
The offer is valid until 30 May 2027.
In addition, a new evo piston and a new evo elastic band are also produced.
For pistons and elastic bands there is no offer of permutation.
New Rotax Plasma cylinders
Technical data:
• Rotax Plasma cylinders are 100% interchangeable with previous cylinders.
• The cylinder is supplied in two tolerance groups:
(measured at 24 mm from top)
A: 54,000 – 54,009 mm, AB: 54,010 – 54,015 mm
• Thanks to production directly at Rotax, better quality and uniformity control is possible.
• The performance is identical to those of the previous cylinders in Junior and Max categories.
• In the Micro and Mini categories, the cylinders meet the requirements of the FIA that impose a reduction of the power.
• The new cylinders bear the brand ROTAX (no more Rotax Racing)
