The Pomposa circuit hosted the Mojo Trophy 2024, one of the most important events of the year for the RMCI 2024 calendar (joining edition 12), which brings together both areas, North and Central-South.
It is important to note that the result of the final (gara-2) has also assigned the first valid points for the national classification 2024, which will be added the points of the rd.2 and rd.3, respectively to Castelletto and Franciacorta, and the classification of the zone championships.
In the Mini Rotax, the weekend leader was the leader in the North David Davoli area ranking for the FooDrivers team. His pole position with a lot of track record and victory in both races. In race-1 the podium is completed by Lorenzo Matteuzzi (the first final in the top3 season) and Giovanni Pistore (Drake Motorsport), while to signal the withdrawal of Alex Baroni, who thus collects the second consecutive stop after Lonato. In race-2 Davoli's solo is even more important, with the Pistore alone trying to close the gap with some tenth that goes and comes, but this is not enough to prevent Davoli from doublet. For the third step of the podium, the "Turbo Kevin", a young driver who is also on the first podium finish in season. Taking a look at the drivers involved in the Centro-sud area, Gabriele Giannatiempo is able to get both full scores in front of Nicola Murano.
A Junior who, in Pomposa's, was uncertain and compelling. The poleman is Naim Bretag (Infinity), who manages to precede Matteo Natino of only 3 thousandths and with the first 4 drivers enclosed in less than a tenth! In race-1 the duel for the victory is Bretag-Natino, with the two that make elastic throughout the race, but never get to the point of having a direct confrontation, accomplice the impeccable feeling of Bretag with the Ferrara track that never lends side to the opponent. The championship leader, Lorenzo Giaquinto, closes third. Just Giaquinto will be the author of an impeccable first round of race-2, which allows him to pass immediately in the head. To have the worst is Bretag, which loses positions and in a contact with the team-mate Remy suffers some damage to the kart that will bring him back. Those who manage to distract from the carnage of the first lap are Paolo De Grandi (Irt Engines), who takes second in the wake of Giaquinto, but never succeed in reaching him in the fight against victory. The podium Matteo Natino closes, also for MKC Motorsport colours.
Elia Pappacena (MKC Motorsport) dominated the Rotax Max race weekend, always appearing in control of the situation. In qualifying he is the teammate Lenny Stroller to join him in the first row, but already after the first round of race-1 will be Pietro Pons (LKA Racing) to get in second place, looking for a vain chase to the Helvetic driver. For the third place, the fight is lit between Perinazzo, Fracassi and Marchioro, then restricted to a duel between the Infinity drivers: Fracassi has the best on Marchioro, which still closes fourth after a great comeback. A few moments of suspance in race-2, when a contact between Marchioro and Fracassi leads to the coat of the latter and relative exposure of the red flag. The start is performed again in "slow" regime, with a beautiful challenge between Pappacena, Pons and Marchioro in the first laps. After a few laps of study, Pappacena definitely extends, while the challenge for the second place between Pons and Marchioro is resolved in favor of the driver of San Marino. The top-5 Riccardo Perinazzo (Ktre Race) and Tino Sidler (54 Corse Teams).
In the DD2 the protagonist is Michael Rosina, back from this race to defend the blue white colors of the 54 Squadra Corse. After a pole position set by Mauro Simoni (Ktre Race), Rosina takes the reins of the situation, just with Simoni a nice duel for the victory of race-1, which sees on the podium, more detached, also the winner of Lonato Nicola Felappi. Race-2 follows a similar script, with Rosina who manages to prevail for a few tenths on Simoni, while the third step of the podium goes in favor of the leader of classification Leonardo Baccaglini, who seems to have solved the problems of race-1 for a second race much closer to the two leaders. As for the Centro-Sud area, Francesco Palladino, with a sixth and eighth place, had the best on Kevin German.
In the Master, the season of Federico Rossi (54SC) is increasingly dominant. The forlivese driver, on the home track, not only succeeds in winning his class, but even vents the general podium, closing in fourth place race-2. In both races, the place of honor of the ranking "Master" went to the Mkc Motorsport Alessandro Tosi drive.
The first round of national valence is closed 2024. Appointment, for the South Centre area, on June 9 in Morcone, while the North area will descend on track to Franciacorta on June 16. On the other hand, the rd.2 of the National Trophy will kick off on 28 July in Castelletto di Branduzzo.
