A great Sunday of races that recently ended at the 7 Kart Lakes for the second test of the area North Rmc Italy. For the first time in the season has exceeded the threshold of the 100 registered drivers, and this makes well hope on a high level season on all categories.
The race was conditioned by changing weather conditions: after a Saturday lived in the sign of dry, on Sunday morning the paddock woke up in "wet" conditions, which conditioned the first part of the day of race.
In Rotax Mini, the first row, on wet track, is registered MKC Motorsport, with Manuel Calendi who precedes Quessada Marc’Andria. In the second row David Davoli (FooDrivers) and Giovanni Pistore, while the winner of Jesolo, Alex Baroni, takes only tenth. Dramatic start of race for the two teammates: both get out of track in curve-1 for a contact where Pistore is also involved. This leaves Davoli undisturbed in the first position, but the guilt makes him Baroni (FooDrivers), who departs tenth, is immediately third at the end of the round1. The first 3 positions will remain unchanged throughout the race, with the viscous conditions of the track that recommend not to take too many risks. Vince Davoli, front and a great Emanuele Rosselli (KtreRace), first in top-3, and Alex Baroni. In race-2, played in dry conditions, the duo FooDriver immediately snaps perfectly, with Davoli to precede Baroni, while the best start is certainly Quessada, who finds himself immediately third, to the damage of Rosselli that slips in p4. Barons, mid-race, attack Davoli. The two remain attached until the last lap, when Davoli, in turn-1, strikes the decisive attack on barons, which, having to defend even from Quessada, leaves free field to the teammate. Vince David Davoli, in front of Baroni, who at photofinish has the best on Quessada. On 4 heats played in this 2024, there are 4 wins of the black-blue duo FooDrivers.
In Junior, the dominator of the race is once again Lorenzo Giaquinto (MKC Motorsport). The Bolzanin driver, now a veteran of the category, seems to be clamorously well on a wet track, so as to detach the pole position with almost a second margin on the first of the pursuers, the Swiss Andrea Remy (Infinity). In the second row, the other colour holders Infinity Naim Bertag and Leo Gonzalez. In race-1, Giaquinto snaps very hard and imposes a markedly higher pace than the competition: on a wet track, the driver Mkc takes the competition of more than 8", to win the third race on 3 played in 2024. The show is more reserved for the fight for the square of honor, when Leo Gonzalez reaches Bertag and passes it on the eighth lap. In the final stages of the race, Remy also reaches Bertag and , passing it, completes the top-3 of race-1. The top-6 Andreas Lo Bue and Lorenzo Coletto close. In race-2, the conditions of the track change, dry though with some humidity, but does not change the result: Giaquinto is unpretentious and only Remy seems to hold his head, but the Helvetic must settle for the second position, while the struggle is all for the P3 between Bertag and Lo Bue, with the first, which, after various exchanges of position, manages to get the last podium square. Unlucky Paolo De Grandi (Irt Engines): the second of the ranking landed on a weekend no, which culminates with the withdrawal in race-2 due to the break of the silencer.
Full grill in Rotax Max, with Samuel Ifrid (Ubiq Racing) author of the pole position, ahead of Pietro Pons (LKA Racing Team). In the second row Marco Bernardi (Krono Racing) and Alessandro Pedini (Infinity). In race-1, played on the wet, Pons immediately has a better point than Ifrid and takes the lead to the race. The Swiss driver will also have to give positions to the Infinity duo composed by Giacomo Marchioro and Kiko Fracassi. Of these two, only Marchioro seems to be able to hold the pass of Pons: the two will race to itself, with Pons who in the final race manages to detach the San Marino of 2", taking home the first victory of the season. Complete the podium Kiko Fracassi, which at the end of the race manages to defend itself from the attacks of Bernardi and Sidler (54 Squadra Corse). The championship leader Elia Pappacenacena (MKC) closes in seventh place. Also worth mentioning is the great remonta of the rookie Matteo Montrone, which recovers 15 positions, closing in P6. In race-2, Pons snaps well in front of Marchioro, but the crazy splinter is Matteo Montrone, who after taking third to the first lap, takes second, to the pursuit of Pons. The head trio continues compact, with Pons commanding operations on Montrone and Marchioro, when an accident in the rear forces the slow. The race resumes and is total carnage, with Marchioro first and Fracassi then going to the attack of Pons. Fracassi is the author of a great surprise to the detached restaurant, which leaves Pons vulnerable to attacks by Marchioro, Nik Trobec, Tino Sidelr and Tommaso Greco. In DD2 Master, seeing himself flanked by Nicola Felappi. In the second row Maximilian Eigl and Cristian Trolese (NC Racing), while Leonardo Baccaglini is in the third row, with Michael Rosina in the fourth row. At the start of race-1, Felappi burns at the start Giliberti and goes to lead with margin the race. Leonardo Baccaglini, who manages to find the square he lacked in humid conditions and, in the final of the race, drastically recovers the gap from Felappi, without however getting to the attack. Nicola Felappi, in front of Baccaglini and Daniel Giliberti. In race-2, the asphalt returns dry and the protagonist comes back Baccaglini, which immediately snaps in the head and leads the race from the beginning to the end, keeping two seconds little advantage on Daniel Giliberti. For the third position, Maruo Simoni (Ktre) has the best on Cristian Trolese, who will then be forced to retire. To be noted an important twist of scene, with Michael Rosina who does not take the start in race-2, seeing thus losing important points on Baccaglini, who takes the wide in the standings.
Round#2 ends in the North area, but there is no end to Rotax Italia's emotions: next weekend the South Centre area will be on track in Sarno, while it is only 2 weeks to separate us from round#3 North area in that of Lonato.
