RACE REPORT – ZONA CENTRO SUD – RD7 – CASALUCE

A Casaluce, on Kartodromo Racing Kart it was held 1st Racing Cup Casaluce valid as the seventh round of the Challenge Rotax South Center. Despite the local titles were already in the safe of the various winners of the categories, we witnessed compelling duels and races full of twists.

The weather conditions were good and the track was in good condition. But let's see the news of the races starting as usual with the Mini Rotax. Gabriele Giannatiempo (CL) comes with the title of zone sample in pocket but puts in the field every possible effort to get the maximum result and in qualifying wins the pole with a good 58:568 followed by Nicola Murano, Antonio Salma and Giovanni Calandro. The start of the poleman is not the best and Murano goes immediately on the head followed by Calandro who takes advantage of the bad start of the whole internal row, also Salma manages to overcome Giannatiempo. At the fourth round Giannatiempo in an attempt to overtake goes in the head and from that moment starts a chase and with a series of fast turns manages to recover the third position while in the head nothing happens with Murano that wins and rule Calandro. In the final part well Calandro who takes the head par not to leave it anymore, Murano is second and Giannatiempo completes the podium, fourth Salma.

In Junior falls into the competition, after a prolonged stop, Vincenzo Spina (tokens kart). The young Irpino driver wins the two races by getting full score.

In DD2 Masters Marco Valestra wins quite easily pole, race1 and race2. Max Cioffi and Bruno Rega they can't think of it and they must be satisfied to alternate on the lower steps of the podium.

In DD the duel between Basketball and , the first, which presents itself with the zone primacy already safe, gets the pole and wins fairly smoothly 1 race keeping from the first laps to safety distance from the opponents. In race 2 Sessa has a good starting point and goes to the head, here begins a tight duel of trajectories and attempted surprises. During a surprise attempt outside Palladino puts two wheels on the grass and loses two positions and finds fourth with about 4 seconds delay from Sessa that keeps the head of the race. A pace made of fast turns leads Palladino to approach the rider from Salerno who will cut the finish line with 260 thousandths of advantage. The rest make it the penalty: 5 seconds to Sessa by decision of the sports commissioners and 5 to Palladino for front bumper returned. Eventually wins Francesco Del Grosso who managed to contain the gap and was kept out of the bagarre thus conquering race 2 with merit.

This is how the season of the local Challenge ends, now look and turn to the National Final. That's where the story is made, that's where the most coveted prizes are won, that's where each driver wants to give the most to join Team Italia in the start for Portimao. We wish everyone a good ending.
