Starting season for the Rotax Italia 2022 trophy in the North, with the first stop at the Pista Azzurra in Jesolo, which registered a large number of members, breaking the threshold of 80 participants. Particularly participated the Rotax Max, which saw the start of 38 drivers, thus exceeding the allowed limit of 34 drivers on the starting grid and therefore having to resort to the system of "elimination points".
The Rotax Mini has seen from the time Brando Badoni wins a good pole position ahead of the Slovenian driver Jure Levar and Paolo De Grandi. At turning off the lights it starts very well De Grandi, who surprises Levar to get in second place, with Badoni who parades away clean in the head. The key episode of the race takes place on lap 4, when a contact between De Grandi and Levar puts out the pilot on board the FormulaK and benefits Badoni that stretches the gap beyond 3". In third place, Gabriele Giribaldi, insidiato da Matteo Natino, will be able to get the best in the close duel, but will then suffer a penalty of 5" for irregular position of the spoiler. The same penalty of time is also inflicted on Levar, who loses the P2 in favor of Giribaldi and the P3 to the advantage of Andrea Lavazza. In race 2 we witness the levar's recovery, which with a large first lap leads to the head of the race, while unfortunately they exit at curve 8 Natino and Sammartano, following a contact. The victory duel is resolved at Turn 1 6, when Badoni passes Levar and creates the decisive tear. The second will then close the Slovenian driver, while the third place is for Paolo De Grandi who manages to hold the Fd Motor Lavazza color companion.
He also fights the Rotax Junior who sees 15 drivers on the road and to score the pole position is the Helvetic driver Elia Pappacena, who precedes little Kiko Fracassi and Nik Trobec. At the start is Trobec to center a lightning start, which takes it in the first position. Pappacena will soon try to regain leadership, but the duel does not end well for him, which slips in P4. The first position of Trobec does not have long life, as Fracassi arrives, who takes the first position and will not spring it until under the chess flag. In race-2 it is excellent the departure of Fracassi that parades away clean, but then it is Vidmar to take the scene of the first laps, taking in the head of the race. Its position as a leader, however, undergoes a hard hit in the middle of the race: the commissioners expose the black and orange flag for the release of the para chain after a contact to the street. Fracassi and Pappacena have a free field to play the victory, but the tenacious resistance of the Infinity team’s home driver prevails on the Arrembante Pappacena, which must be satisfied with the square of honour. A very hard challenge that of Rotax Max, which with 38 drivers at the start, is the most numerous category of the weekend. The pole position "overall", given by the best times of both qualifying groups, is marked by the San Marino Giacomo Marchioro, who precedes Riccardo Perinazzo and Leonardo Tiozzo, with the first 20 drivers enclosed in less than half a second! The elimination heats see the victories of Marchioro, Bernardi and Leonardo Principalli respectively. The sum of the scores of the heats allocates the first score of the season, with the first 55 points that go to the titan Marchioro, in front of Marco Bernardi and Leonardo Principalli. This is also the starting line of the final, which sees Marchioro parade away at the start and lead in solitary all the race, with Nicola Guerra who is the author of a beautiful start to take himself momentarily in P2, but then it will be passed by Bernardi first and Chizzali then, who will cut the finish in the same order, behind the winner Giacomo Marchioro, who sets to mark the first double of the season.
The Rotax Dd2 sees the start of a great Leonardo Baccaglini, who, on his debut in the queen class, is immediately at the top of the category, in front of Gregorio Bertocco and the intoxicable Claudio Pagliarani, the first among the Dd2 Master, but in fact at ease also among the under. Race-1 proceeds with a quite regular trend, with Baccaglini leaving well and dominating the race, imposing a rather higher pace than competition. Bertocco controls the second position well, while the show is more for the third step of the podium, with Fardin that prevails for little in the duel with Pagliarani. Also in race-2 no problem for Baccaglini, which starts well and stretches immediately imposing an irresistible march towards the finish line. On the other hand, Bertocco lost positions, which only parades in fifth place and engages a duel with Nicola Felappi and Marta Bussola: it does not end well for the latter two, who will lose different positions and will be forced to reassemble from the center of the group, while Bertocco still manages to insulate in fourth place, but more detached from the fight for the P2 and the P3. Fight that sees protagonists Alessandro Fardin and Claudio Pagliarani, with the latter who manages to strike the decisive attack on lap 11, thus ending in second position and putting behind almost all the dd2 "under". Leonardo Baccaglini wins the race, ahead of Claudio Pagliarani (first Master) and Alessando Fardin. Fourth concluded Gregorio Bertocco, third among the dd2 "senior".
Next appointment for the North area on 17 April on another Italian historical track, the Pomposa Circuit where the Mojo Trophy 2022 will take place.
