Classic mid-summer appointment, the Mojo Trophy does not have, as usual, disappointed expectations in terms of show and adrenaline. Over 70 drivers, coming from all 3 areas of the Trophy, fought on the asphalt heat of the Tuscan circuit, where we witnessed numerous surprises and new names at the top.
GARA CRONACA
He is the driver of the LGK Racing Kart Pietro Lilli to get the pole position of the MINI ROTAX. He sees behind him the "leons" of the championship Matteo Montrone (Irt Engines), Matteo Berruti (Honolulu) and Lorenzo Lanzara. Regular route in race-1 with the first who parade away clean, but we immediately witness the twist after a few curves: Matteo Montrone goes to the warhead and departs in the tail to the group. In the head we always have the Lilli driver, but Berruti closes away the gap, dragging behind Brando Badoni (irt Engines) and Lorenzo Lanzara. At 4 laps from the conclusion, Berruti attacks Lilli to the pits, but the LGK driver crosses the lines and takes the first position. This allows Badoni to reconnect to the pair of heads. Badoni will try to attack Berruti and after repeated exchanges of courtesans, we arrive at the finish line with Berruti in front of Badoni at the photofinisch. He won for the first time in career Pietro Lilli. In race-2 shows via Pietro Lilli; his escape attempt is also facilitated by the fight for the second position: Berruti, Badoni and Lanzara exchange their positions repeatedly, while from the back it furiously reassembled Montrone, which passes Badoni and fits in third position, while Brando is overtaken by Lanzara. After a few turns, Montrone also attacks Berruti with a super detachment, while Lilli is officially on the run. Montrone seems to stretch for the second position, while the fight for the P3 undergoes a stop when Lanzara and Badoni touch each other straight, leaving Montrone and
ROTAX JUNIOR that already gives suspance in qualifying, where Pietro Pons succeeds, with a super lap, to tear the pole position to the leader of the Kiko Fracassi classification (LKA Racing Team). In the second row Giacomo Marchioro (LKA Racing Team) and Riccardo Perinazzo (Ktre Race). At the end of the traffic lights it is great the point of Marchioro that passes immediately in second position, with Pons that remains leader but immediately forced to first defensive turns. In the meantime we have an unfortunate epilogue for Martino Zorgno (54 Corse Team) who is forced to retire early for a chain jump. Marchioro attempts to attack the detachment of the mechanics and leads to the head, but Pons does not demolish and returns in front of a curve later. Few curves and also enters the action Kiko Fracassi, who overtakes the teammate and begins to stab Pons. The defense of Pons is exemplary, but in the middle of the race he is forced to surrender both to Fracassi and to Marchioro, who will reach the race. For the fourth position instead we have a 3 fight between Motlekar, Perinazzo and the home driver Giacomo Pegazzano. It will be Motlekar to put in line the battlemates, while the victory of Fracassi is insidiata in the final from Marchioro, which closes the gap but not enough to bring an attack to the color companion. In race-2, Pietro Pons, who takes his Kart Repubblic in the first position, surprising the poleman Fracassi, which however takes a few turns to take back the leadership by starting his escape for victory. On the other hand, the start of Marchioro, which from the first row
The ROTAX MAX, in which Nicola Guerra (LKA Racing Team) hits the second consecutive pole position, but it is seen flanked in the front row by the surprise Leonardo Baccaglini (Ktre Race), passed from this race to the top category. In third position, the leader Luca Zamburlini (LKA Racing Team) took the lead. Great point of War at the start of race-1, which drags behind teammate Zamburlini, who is however attacked immediately by a fierce Baccaglini. The two exchange favors several times, but then Baccaglini has the best, while Zamburlini is also attacked by Leonardo Tiozzo (Ktre). The fight in the group helps War escape in solitary. Tiozzo takes the fourth position and stretches over the rest of the group. In the lead of the race, Nicola Guerra seems to have cast off the spell of the last races and realizes everything by first cutting the finish line, with wide margin on Baccaglini and Tiozzo. In fourth place, Andrea Giudice (FooDrivers) closes in front of Luca Zamburlini. In race-2 we witness a spectacular departure from Tiozzo, which surprises War and leads to the head. Behind them Baccaglini and Zamburlini. Tiozzo dictates the rhythm of the race, while Zamburlini tries in vain an attack on Baccaglini for the third place. These 4 pilots will compete to themselves and will drastically reach the group. Shortly after the half race, War attempted a lightning strike on Tiozzo, but responded to the detachment after the straight. The fight between the two is intense, with War back inside Tiozzo to the mechanics, but shortly after a light cont
Numerous the queen class, the DD2, which sees at the start 27 drivers. In pole position he took the fast driver of the Ktre Race Cristian Trolese, champion 2018 and 2019, looking for the ransom after a start season in chiaroscuro. In the front row also Gregorio Bertocco, while the winner of the last two races, Michaele Rosina (54SC) takes third, next to the championship leader Luca Munaretto (Munaretto Performance). At the start of race-1 is not exciting the departure of Bertocco, which slips back of various positions, while Rosina passes in second position and insidia Trolese. The latter, however, shows that he has a higher step and tries to join the group. Munaretto successfully attacks Nicola Felappi (Honolu Racing) and takes third, starting off to gnaw the gap on Rosina. In the race finale you turn on a three-way fight for the second place, with Munaretto trying to attack Rosiana and Felappi trying to emulate him. The defense of Rosina is realized with Felappi that attacks Munaretto successfully: the two continue, until the last bend, a slight error of the driver of Honolu Racing deprives him of the podium, relegating him to the P4, in front of Francesco Palladino, first of the Centro-Sud drivers to the finish line. Immediately stage shot at the start of race 2: a series of contacts bring the category "big" in the back. Bertocco, Felappi, Rosina and Munaretto are forced to chase, while Trolese and Palladino parade away in the head. The race will be characterized by the rimonta of these pilots, but to make the big blow is Felappi, that with a recovery crazy
