ROTAX MAX CHALLENGE ITALIA – ZONA NORD – RD1

AD ADRIA SI SPENGONO I SEMAFORI SULLA ZONA NORD

A weekend of passion, adrenaline and close fights to the last breath. But most of all, I want to go back to competition. These, in extreme synthesis, are the key points of the First Trial of the Rotax Max Challenge Italy North, which saw a beautiful setting of drivers who took part in the first race of the year for what concerns, in fact, the Northern group of the Austrian monobrand. We also emphasize the entry of numerous new entries, which have chosen the Trofeo Rotax Italia to play the 2020 racing season.

CRONA GARE

In the Rotax Mini it appears clear from the Saturday tests that will be Davide Bottaro (Irt) and Brando Badoni (FooDrivers) the drivers to beat. The pronostico is not denied in qualifying tests, with Bottaro taking pole and track record, detaching Badoni about 3/10 second. At the turn off of the Bottaro lights it maintains leadership and tries a light extension, while a nice leap forward makes it Alberto "Kiko" Fracassi (FD Motor), which takes you to third position. The two Energys dictate the step, but lap after lap, Badoni closes the gap from Bottaro and attacks it successfully during lap 4, thus taking the first win of this 2020 Mini Rotax season, in front of Bottaro and Fracassi. In race-2 some scaramuccia in the first laps between Badoni, Fracassi and Bottaro goes to animate the first laps, until Badoni manages to impose his rhythm and thus to give the decisive tear on the brand-mate Bottaro. But the emotions are not finished, as Lorenzo Lanzara (54Sc) cooks in the final the gap separating him from Fracassi and goes to take the third step of the podium. He then wins with Brando Badoni, in front of Bottaro and Lanzara.

A range of 17 drivers makes the Rotax Junior the largest category of the weekend. Leonardo Bacccaglini (54Sc) won the pole position in front of Andrea Giudice (FooDrivers). Clamorous the record time of 50.7 of both first-row drivers, which wipes out the international record of Marcel Surmancz who resisted for 4 years. At the start of race-1 is Pietro Pons (Honolu Racing) to take second place, passing Giudice. However, it is not easy to keep the pass of Baccaglini, which stretches considerably around, until it brings its advantage to more than 3". The fight for the second place is lit in the final laps, when the struggle between Pons and Judge takes advantage of a surprising Martino Zorgno (54Sc), which passes third and goes to take the podium, confirming a certain affinity with the rovigotto circuit. Judge scales therefore fourth, in front of Perduca, Perinazzo, Belfiore, Marotto (author of an excellent performance from absolute debut), Strazzari and Pecis. Excellent also the performance of the other absolute debut, Leonardo Rigon, who sees the top ten escape only because of a penalty for the muse out of position. In race-2 it is excellent the departure of Zorgno, which kicks Pons from the second place, as well as that of Andrea Perduca, able to fit into the head crane after a weekend a little subtono. But nothing can stop the march of Baccaglini, which stretches the gap on the pursuers immediately putting in safe the victory. The second place shows Pietro Pons, in front of Judge who

It is no less the Rotax Max, with a Michele Chizzali that crumbles in 49,955 a record of the track that appeared unreachable, with Nicola Guerra (54Sc) that flanks it in the front row. In the second row we find Luca Zamburlini (LKA Dannic) and Daniele Vezzelli (LGK). In race-1 Chizzali squirts out loud, while War, Zamburlini, Vezzelli, Longoni and Sisti battle for other podium positions. The fight against the first round between War and Zamburlini benefits Vezzelli, which takes third, while Longoni takes care of Zamburlini and Sisti. However, no one is able to stop the progression towards the chess flag of Michele Chizzali, which takes a well-deserved victory over War and Vezzelli. More fought and uncertain instead race-2, in which War succeeds in overcoming Chizzali and also Vezzelli joins in the fight for victory. The blow of science arrives in the middle of the race, when a contact between Vezzelli and Chizzali takes the latter on the dirt and favors at the same time the escape of War, which will remain at the top until the finish line. Accesa the fight for the third place between Zamburlini and Longoni, but after several exchanges of courtesans Zamburlini is forced to retire for mechanical boredom. War first cuts the finish line, mind the penalty of Vezzelli leaves the second position to Jacopo Sisti (LKA Dannic) and the third in Chizzali, author of a great recovery after the exit of track.

The Queen class of the Trophy, the Dd2, gives emotions and twists of scene from the very beginning, with the favorite Michael Rosina (54Sc) forced to abandon the qualifying tests for technical problems. Free space then to the defending champion Cristian Trolese (Ktre) who wins another of his classic pole position, with a good margin on Luca Munaretto (54Sc). At the start is rabid the remonta of Rosina which, last party, recovers positions on positions until it arrives close to the first. Meanwhile, Munaretto overrides Trolese and secures a discreet margin of advantage, while Rosina is irresistible and already leads to P2. Another scene colo in the final, as Luca Munaretto's left rear decides that it can suffice (perhaps hit by a debris) and so Rosina has free to win the race. The second place is surprising for Nicola Felappi (Honolulu) following a penalty inflicted on Trolese, who had crossed the finish line by second. In race-2 there is a solo by Michael Rosina, which stretches from the street, while the fight for the remaining steps of the podium between Luca Munaretto, Alessandro Fardin, Nicola Felappi and Marta Bussola is raging. In the last laps, Munaretto manages to take some margin that allows him to put in safe the second place, while the desperate attempt of Felappi to take the place on the podium to the damages of Fardin, concludes with Marta Bussola that blows the fourth place to photofinish. To emphasize the beautiful performance of 54Sc team that monopolizes the podium. Also fighting class D
